The Food Microbiology SIG is a community of researchers, teachers, regulators and industry with a common interest in microbes associated with food safety, spoilage and manufacture across all food commodities.
Clinical Serology & Molecular SIG
Dr Linda Hueston
Serology and Molecular Biology techniques confirm infection, monitor disease prevalence, and investigate outbreaks. The SIG promotes greater understanding of these disciplines and educational opportunities for diagnostic scientists throughout their career
Dr Karena Waller
The Education SIG is focussed on advancing microbiology education, and fostering networks, collaborations and professional development opportunities for educators in microbiology and the related sciences.
The Eukaryotic Microbes SIG is focused on fostering interactions between researchers working on the molecular and cellular biology of all eukaryotic microbes (fungi and parasites). It encompasses the breadth of eukaryotic microbial research including experimental model systems, pathogenic microbes and eukaryotic microbes relevant to biotechnology.
