ASM NANCY MILLIS STUDENT AWARDS
This award provides the opportunity for one student member from each ASM State Branch to attend and give an oral presentation at the ASM Annual Scientific Meeting.
Recipients of the Nancy Millis Student Awards are expected to give presentation at the current year’s Annual Scientific Meeting. They will also each receive a certificate given at the Nancy Millis Student Award Symposium, a full conference registration to the Annual Scientific Meeting, a $500 accommodation allowance and a return economy airfare.
Conference home state winners will receive a full student registration and a $500 accommodation allowance if they elect stay at the conference venue. They will not be entitled to airfares unless significant travel is required within their state.
Students who elect to present virtually will receive a full student registration but are not entitled to airfares or accommodation.
+ Eligibility Requirements
Essential criteria:
- be student members of the ASM or, if not currently a student member, applicants must be eligible for membership and must pay for such at the time of application for the Award.
- not have previously received a ASM Student Award
+ Application Requirements
Applicants must contact their respective State Branch to ascertain submission requirements and the deadline date.
+ Conditions of Award
The recipient of the Award will be required to present their paper at the special Nancy Millis Student Award Symposium at the ASM Annual Scientific Meeting.
+ Assessment
Finalists for the Award will be selected on the basis of their abstract and a presentation summary submitted for consideration to their ASM State Branch.
