MILLIS-COLWELL POSTGRADUATE AWARD
This award enabled the reciprocal exchange of one member between the Australian Society for Microbiology and the American Society for Microbiology (American ASM) to visit a research laboratory in each country and to attend a National Conference of the other society.

BAZELEY ORATION
This was an annual event that generally alternated between a local and an international speaker to make best use of the funds. The orator was chosen by a small subcommittee, including a member of the local organizing committee. CSL appraises the selection, the aim being to select people who are in fields related to CSL’s activities.
