ASM Celebrates Election of Four Members to the American Academy of Microbiology Class of 2026

The ASM is proud to announce that four of its distinguished members have been elected to the American Academy of Microbiology Class of 2026.

The new Fellows from our membership are:

  • Dena Lyras, Monash University

  • Kate Seib, Griffith University

  • Chris Greening, Monash University

  • Jizheng He, The University of Melbourne

The American Academy of Microbiology is a leadership group within the American Society for Microbiology consisting of over 2600 scientists who are recognised for making important contributions to the field of microbiology.

Dena, Kate, Chris and Jizheng are among 63 microbiology experts recognized this year, selected from 145 nominations from all over the world.
