This important forum will bring together three prestigious congresses, each with a strong history of attracting the Bioscience and Biotechnology communities together to discuss and examine the latest developments and research:
• 26th Congress of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB)
• 17th Congress of the Federation of Asian & Oceanian Biochemists & Molecular Biologists (FAOBMB)
• 22nd ComBio Conference (ComBio)
This will be the first time the IUBMB Congress will be held in Melbourne and only the third time in the Southern Hemisphere. It will join with FAOBMB and ComBio to create a truly global forum bringing together renowned scientists from across the world, from Nobel Laureates to early career scientists.

An excellent opportunity to bring Australia’s diverse microbial ecology community together to network, share ideas and to provide an invaluable way to expand our knowledge and foster collaboration.
BacPath is the Australian premiere biennial molecular bacteriology meeting that has an exclusive focus on bacterial pathogens. We explore the full spectrum of molecular microbiology from fundamental research to translational applications.
Our meetings have been running in Australia for more than two decades and provide an ideal forum for the Australian molecular bacteriology community to congregate and share their latest research findings.
We take pride in providing postgraduate students and early career researchers (ECRs) oral presentation opportunities at BacPath meetings, allowing them to present to our delegates from academia, research institutions and industry.
Networking and career-building is also strongly valued, our programs therefore include plenty of time for delegates to exchange ideas with peers and expand their professional networks.
Be part of a sustainable IPC future at the ACIPC International Conference.

With over 25 years since the last IMUC, the objectives of the IMUC-III conference are to:
Reconnect and bring together international leading experts, medical professionals, early career researchers and students from across the globe working on (or interested in) M. ulcerans.
Share experiences, learnings and research on how Buruli ulcer and the causative agent M. ulcerans is being studied, monitored, investigated and treated.
Promote neglected skin diseases such as Buruli ulcer that impact lower-, middle- and high-income countries to varying degrees and highlight the importance of raising awareness of the severity and spread these diseases, and Buruli ulcer in particular.
Showcase the progress made in addressing key issues of preventing and treating Buruli ulcer from public health and clinical perspectives.
A two-day workshop organised by the RCPAQAP and the Australian Society for Microbiology will include lectures and hands-on microscopy sessions.

Join us for the 51st Annual General Meeting of the Australian Society for Microbiology. It will be held on Thursday 14th September 1pm AEST, via Zoom.
Tristate meetings have been initiated and supported by ASM branches in SA, WA and NT for over 20 years. They aim to provide social networking opportunities and an engaging scientific program for those working within microbiology in the Northern Territory. The global pandemic impeded our ability to hold Tristate over the past few years, but we are happy to announce new details. The meeting is now scheduled for the 8th-10th September, 2023 at the Novotel, Darwin with the theme “Technology in the Top End to advance health”. Technology sits at the forefront of pathogen detection and diagnosis, and we would be delighted to showcase how technological advances in the microbiology field contribute to better health outcomes.
MicroSeq2023 will be the fourth iteration of the MicroSeq conference, an online conference designed to bring together early career researchers and research students in Australia and New Zealand from a broad range of microbiology domains, who are united by their use of DNA and RNA sequencing technologies.
This event aims to promote cross-disciplinarily interaction and discussion on the broader use of high-throughput sequencing in microbiology, virology, and mycology across human, animal and plant systems. MicroSeq is an online conference, which opens up participation from a wide array of attendees and reduces barriers for participation. Attendees will hear from plenaries who are early and mid-career researchers making a name for themselves in microbiology and sequencing, and talks from many up and coming researchers at the forefront of the field. There are multiple prizes for outstanding presentations, supported by the ASM, including people’s choice awards, loads of prizes for best questions across different sessions, and even a prize for an online GatherTown quest.
The first fifty Australian Society of Microbiology members who are students or early career researchers are eligible for free registration.
Registration for the conference will open July 26th, with abstract submissions closing August 6th. The registration link will be available from our website: https://www.microseqconference.com/
Please keep an eye on our Twitter account @MicroSeq_ASM for updates pertaining to MicroSeq2023 or subscribe to the mailing list at our website.
